Lord Blackwell’s Promise (Larkhall Letters Book 5) by Ashtyn Newbold
Ashtynn Newbold delivers a spectacular end to the Larkhall Letters series! The entire premise behind the book was creative and unique. A death-bed marriage of convenience out of a guilty conscience? Amazing! First book I’ve ever read like it.
I love the way Newbold kept me guessing throughout the book with all the twists and turns. Both Margaret and Peter had to confront some ugly truths about their own character. While they both learn to change and adapt when their marriage of convenience delivers an unexpected outcome, they grow closer.
I found myself rooting for both Peter and Margaret throughout the book and my only disappointment was that I had to stop reading to get some sleep before going to work the next day. You won’t want to put this book down either.
Even though this is the finale of the series, the book stands well on its own. I found all five books high quality, engaging stories and would recommend all of them.
Fantastic love story, enemies to friends, deathbed wish, and marriage of convenience. Fans of clean regency romance will enjoy this story.
